Quick answer

Use Claude as the conversation layer and Refresh List as the evidence and verification workspace. This guide shows the safe workflow from a CSV or TXT list to a reviewable result.

Step-by-step

01

1. Connect Refresh List

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Refresh List, and complete the OAuth sign-in. Claude receives permission for your selected Refresh List workspace; your password and payment details are never shared with Claude.

02

2. Estimate the work first

Ask Claude to estimate verification cost for your list. Refresh List performs a preflight that counts rows, duplicates, skipped values, and eligible unique addresses before any paid verification starts.

03

3. Save a preflight draft

Ask Claude to preflight the CSV or TXT content. The draft keeps the original list in your Refresh List workspace and returns counts—not the full email list—to Claude.

04

4. Review the quote

Create a verification quote for the draft and open the approval handoff. Confirm the eligible count, credit requirement, and workspace before approving.

05

5. Start with explicit approval

After approval, Claude can start the verification with an idempotency key. This prevents accidental duplicate starts. Paid credits are reserved only after the approved start.

06

6. Monitor and export

Ask Claude for job status while the list runs. When results are complete, use the authenticated export handoff in Refresh List to download the result group you need.

What Claude can do

Claude can explain the workflow, estimate the maximum credit requirement, save a preflight, create an approval quote, start an approved verification, read bounded status, and create a secure export handoff.

What Claude cannot guarantee

A valid result is evidence available at the time of checking, not a promise of inbox placement. Consent, sender reputation, authentication, content, complaints, receiving policy, and mailbox changes remain outside the verification result. Unknown remains unknown.

How billing works

Duplicates and skipped rows are free. Each completed eligible unique check—including an unknown result—uses one credit. Paid credits are one-time purchases and do not expire. Claude shows the quote before a paid start.

Keep sensitive data under control

Only send a list when you intend to preflight or verify it. Do not paste passwords, provider credentials, payment details, or unrelated personal data into Claude. Refresh List keeps provider secrets server-side and returns bounded summaries rather than raw stored results.

Use the protected connection

Refresh List publishes its connector address for discovery, but every account action is authorized. Never share an access token, refresh token, API key, or payment credential.

Common questions

Does Claude verify mailboxes by itself?+

No. Claude calls the authenticated Refresh List connector. Refresh List sends eligible addresses to its configured verification provider and records the result evidence.

Can Claude start a paid verification without my approval?+

No. A quote and explicit approval handoff are required before the paid start.

Are duplicate emails charged?+

No. Duplicates are identified during preflight and do not consume verification credits.

Where do I download the results?+

Claude creates an authenticated handoff. Download the selected result group from your Refresh List workspace.
